cruise control?
really??? cruise control is when you let your fat girlfriend drive..
and the vibe thing.. Carrie likes when i keep it in the 2800 to 3100 k range.. but i'm not gonna splain why.. ok..
In a previous post I asked what accessories/parts you wanted for your SB. I provided our wish list to my HD dealership contact who carried the list to the HD dealers show last week. Today I spoke my HD contact who hand-delivered our FLD wishlist to the power that be at the dealer show. He said that two MOCO reps were very impressed by our efforts and with the fact that we reduced our wishes in a common list. He said HD wants more "customer" input. I was told that in one or two weeks I would receive a telephone call from one of the two MOCO reps to provide input about the SB. Since this was and is a group project for round two I am asking for your input.
Below is a list of questions I think he may ask but please feel free to add your own question(s) to the list. Remember we have already told the MOCO rep what accessories/parts we want so do not add a question about those two items.
Please answer each question AND provide a basis for your answer. For example: Q: What do you like best about the SB? A: I like the fact that the bike comes with both a windshield and saddlebags since the SB will be my "touring" bike.
I will compile your responses and wait for the telephone call. If the MOCO rep fails to ask any of the questions we have addressed I will raise the question myself. So, here are my assumed questions.
1. What one thing do you like the best about the SB?
2. What one thing do like the least about the SB?
3. What would you like to see changed on the SB (list with explanations)?
4. If you could change one thing on the SB what would it be?
5. What colors should be offered for the SB?
6. What made you purchase the SB?
7. What problems have you experienced?
Those are the questions I can think of for now. I will need your input no later than February 8th as they may call within a couple of days after returning from the dealer show.
I will compile and post the proposed final list on February 7th. I will revise the list on the 8th and wait for the call.
1) Styling and simplicity.
2) Saddlebag cover opening and closing a hit and miss and too close to detach back rest system.
3) Bigger tire on rear (Street Glide size)
4) Go to chrome covers.
5) White or Blue
6) 103ci/6 Speed made me do it.
7) No problems but front end might be bottoming out on rough roads.

1. 70's FLH Reissue (minus 4 in.Tire)
2. Small bags, lids rattle.
3. Crome, Chrome, and more Chrome
4. see #2
5. Love to see a Two Tone
6. Walked into HD Dealer and my bike was sitting on the Showroom floor.
7. Lids adjusted.
Hey Stich,
When closing your lids, place them on there and from the fender side give it a little push outwards, then latch it down and they will seat fine. Mine don't rattle but I do that little trick every time. Just an FYI

Actually, I would like cruise control too. One more hand to help hold my mustache down because of my "little" windshield making it stand at attention...hehe
Now which one is Carrie? The wife or one of the three girlfriends?
LMAO
Thx FB,
Took awhile to get use to them. One side seemed to not clamp quite as tight as the other and would rattle. A few times found it half open when on the Interstate. Hopefully it's fixed when I get it out of storage next month!
My brother is a Staff Engineer for H-D. He often has me search and research targeted questions from the forums for the engineers so they can gauge how their designs are received and if there are accessories that need to be considered for availability. We went over the Switchback topic about 3 months after it was released.

1. Lighter, quicker option over a touring bike with hard bags and without the overly skinny front ends of other Dynas. Those asking for larger tank, bags, dual pipes, fairings, fat over priced tires that do nothing but waste rubber and worsen handling, are you kidding me?! Than it no longer becomes an option to a touring bike with the extra cost and weight!!! It would be one!
2. Primary and derby should have been chrome or gloss black.
3. see 2
4. See 2
5. Black with orange pin stripping, black and white 2 tone with throw back pattern
6. 5 months, 4K miles none so far, lid closing is close, but the bags look good close to the bike, they are proportional.
