Mine comes on as soon as I shift into 6, no delay whatsoever.

Everytime I follow Fat-Bob-Brad I lose my place and have to go back to see what the subject is. Yeah mine comes on immediately when I hit sixth gear.

You might be shifting into 6th too soon.

This is about how mine seems to work.

If I shift into 6th and don't get on it hard, the light never will come on. At that point if I do get on it, it will come on. I guess I'll just not pay attention to it and go on my merry way...

I have the TTS on mine and they used to build the SERT so are pretty similar to each other. Mine did the very same thing, if I didn't get on it hard at the shift it would not light the 6 up. The problem is/was with the primary drive ratio setting, it needs to be changed for the computer to recognize the change. I can look in my other computer later what it needs to be. Do you have the software and interface cable? If not you well need to take it to a dealer who does.

My 2011 FXDC has the SERT, and has never given me any trouble that I have noticed, before or after the SERT. Seems to come on as soon as I shift into 6th, whether I have let the clutch out or not. Good luck with the bike ride safe!
