Default PCIII INSTALLATION HELP

I have installed the PCIII but I'm not crazy about the location. I remember a post that had extensive TEXT and PHOTOS of there install. I can't find that post. If anyone can remember it I would be very thankful or if they have any suggestions about the install. Thanks, Tom South Jersey

The post you are referring to was irt a Softail installation.....

The Dyna installation is pretty straight forward, albeit a PITA......

Very little room behind the electrical panel to manipulate the controller, and routing the stock connector to near the rear exh pipe is assenine, imo.....

I don't have pics from my install, but I do have fond memories. If you haven't installed it yet, the PCIII module will fit nicely directly under the seat in the little oval section, leaving more room for that big-a$$ buss connector. I didn't read about that until it was too late. If you install it as described in the destructions, keeping the buss connector away from the rear exhaust pipe is a tricky but it can be done. I used zip ties to secure it to the frame.

Hope this helps.

Well i went for a new idea, hope it works. I put everything under the seat . To do this (have thePCIII directly on top) I cut out the hard plastic section of the seat that was over the PCIII. Ther are two halfmoon shaped protrusions that lock the seat from sliding side to side. I cut out between them and front to back to give the PCIII room. Hope it works. Tom South Jersey

I started with mine under the seat, but it was cramped. I ended up moving it when I wanted to make an adjustment, and needed to ride it after each adjustment (to get rid of decel popping at the 0 throttle position)

anway, I mounted mine on the backside of the fuse box cover. You can see it if you look, but otherwise its pretty much hidden and its easy to get to with the bike fully functional.
