Default New pipes, your opinion please...

I ride a 2001 Superglide carbuerated, mild cams and straight drag pipes.
Recently purchased some Vance and Hines short shots staggerd.
The pipes came with baffels and I was wondering if I should leave
them in or take them out. Carb is already jetted rich. I would like
some opinions. ( I do like it loud). Thanks.

The baffels that come with the pipe have a nice tone, the quiet baffels have a deeper tone and 2-3db quieter. All preference.

If it was me and since the baffles are already in, I would run them with the baffles in and give it a while to see how it sounds. It's gonna be pretty loud anyway and if you still want it louder just pull them and see what the difference is.

a friend of mine has a fat boy with the long shots with the baffles pulled out & in my opinion they can be obnoxious when your hard on the throttle also it attracts the cops to his bike in town.

It's your bike try with them in for a while & try them with out & see what you like

leave them in. You need them for back pressure on those short pipes.

I have the same pipes with the Thunder City Monster Baffles. Loud, but still have some amount of back pressure.

Thanks for the replies. I may try the baffles first.
Wonder if i'll have to take off the heat shields
in order to get them out. Thats no big deal anyway.
