Default HD flush mount caps. Fixed?

Ive been searching through some older threads about the HD flush mounts and all the problems people had with the leds. Im wondering if HD ever corrected the problem, since they are still stocking and selling them. Anybody purchased them in the last year or two and what's been your experience so far? My stock guage cap rattles and wont stay tight and I would like to lose the chrome anyway. Thanks

I have been looking for awhile myself....saw a set on ebay for cheap but the listing said there was a slight delamination on the led side....that didn't sound good...looking at the kury set now but not sure there either...any advice welcome!

Thats what I noticed. It seems like most of the people who complained about them bought them before 09. I remember seeing them at the dealership and wondered how they could keep stocking and selling total junk. Im sure its possible but no likely. Hopefully they worked the bugs out because I like them better than the kurykuruyhoweveruspellit ones.

Can't remember the part numbers but there was the original number that the LEDs failed on then a xxxxxA part number where it was fixed. You still see the original part number for sale on eBay and elsewhere occasionally.

I got the black ones last year in'11 no problems except, the gas cap isn't 100% flush with the tank, that is my only complaint. Now it isn't that noticeable ,just I would have liked it perfect.
