Default Think I messed up

I bought a detachable backrest off of ebay said it was for an 02 up dyna. Well I made the mistake and did not look up any part numbers until today. It is for an 02-05 is there any way to get it to fit on an 2010?

Thanks

got a pic of it? i would guess it is too narrow, do the mount points line up? if they do you can look into cutting the upright and welding in a spacer

the backrest part may fit as they do fit multiple years but the side plates are definitely different

It would be easier to fit the plates than the sissy bar if it is too narrow. Plates can be easily drilled and bolted on.

Get a hold of the seller and tell him what happened. Offer to send it back, and pay for his time, shipping, and original listing to get a refund. Most honest sellers would respond to that. You'd be out a little $, but a little wiser also.
