Did you read what I said, it will not manifest itself ONLY when hitting throttle hard, it will cause issues at any time.
Did YOU read what I said? There are no "rules" in regards to electrical issues. I've worked on aircraft, cars, audio equipment and certified by NASA for micro-miniature electronics repair. Pretty much anything with electronics, I've worked on it. Anything could be the issue....don't get your panties in a wad.
Fuel pump could starting to go bad, hesitating when it has to work hard, my Camaro acted like this until one day it just stalled and the pump failed! Does it act the same when slowly roll the throttle to wide open as it does if you just gun it?

hahaha right! i know on cars i can test the fuel pumps, and on some sport bikes, can i jump this one as well? when i flip the key i can hear it prime
Yes, you can disconnect line from TB and it should pump for a second when you turn key to IGN, but that will not necessarily tell you if that is the problem since it will not have a load.
Need to pressure test somehow.
Hey JRK have you cleaned your electrical connection to the throttle position sensor, that should provide the input to the ECM to reschedule the fuel delivery to the injectors.
Are you sure it is stutter stutter, shutter shutter, boom boom boom...OR could it be stutter shutter boom stutter, shutter, boom boom...??
Based on past experience I would say it is more of a Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang!
Joe, I would try and connect a fuel pressure regulator and set it up so you can read it while riding or at least setup some sort of video device that can record it while your riding. Take it out and put it under load, if your pump in going bad, your reading should be eratic when the problem occures. But, I would start with a new fuel filter since you did say you haven't changed it yet, might look clean, but you can't see the mirco elements.......if you can that's bad ***! It would suck to be out riding and all of a sudden your pump says FU, you can walk!
