JRK is correct. Bleed the front brake. Or have your shop do it for you. It doesn't matter which "way you want to go" - if you have a soft front brake, it needs to be bled before you have an accident.

just moving things around can cause air to get in there did you move the master around? that can do it... bleeding takes about 5 min and is super easy. just bleed it... pop a line on the caliper, into a small amount of brake fluid, pump the brake and crack the bleeder, be sure the master stays full, pump it a few times, tighten, pump it again, crack it and close it up... done! take 5 min and worth it when it comes to brakes

Old biker tip: You can often get it to firm up just by tying the lever back overnight.

I know it's a 2011.. but brake fluid can and will get moister in it.. the shop may have put in some that has been open for some time or just old, over heating could have the same effect. I myself would change it all out with new. Not very hard to do. Coming from motocross I did this all the time since front breaking is huge in that sport. (break fade) then would be spongy after. Hope this helps.
