A guy I work with has a 2007 RK with over 100K miles on it. He's not mechanically inclined, so he takes his bike to the dealer for maintenance. He's never had any major work done to it. Just brakes. It still has the original clutch. All he does is ride it.

Maybe he's just lucky.
Not lucky, if you change you fluids in a timely manor, they all work.
As I stated in a post last fall, I switched from H-D synthetic to Redline in the bike. Since yesterday was the first chance to get a good ride in after the change, I have to say there is a huge difference. The engine, tranny, and primary all run cooler than before. Valvetrain noise was still there but considerably reduced, and as for the clunky shifting in the transmission, it is completely gone. Anyone who is questioning switching lubricants should definately consider Redline.

I used Redline Shockproof in my 2007 FXDC transmission and it clunked just as much as it did when I used Amsoil or Harley Syn3 in the transmission. I now use Amsoil in all 3 holes.
I just changed all 3 today with amsoil. But i think im going to keep an eye out for some redline to put in the tranny. The heavy clunk gets annoying sometimes i guess.
