Also one thing to watch on these bikes is the front end, if you hear or feel and chatter in the front end over bumps or in breaking, you need to tighted up and adjust your fall away.
How do you check that? Whats fall away?

Got a procedure and how tight things should be?

First accessory to purchase is the Service Manual. Right after that, pick up a Parts Catalog. Good luck and enjoy.

The stealership sells the bushings, $34. I also got the poly ones which supposedly don't fit...they fit fine and stiffen up the handlebars.

Poly's absolutely tighten things up but they also transmit more vibration to your hands. May not be an issue for some but on a long ride it causes my hands to go numb. I even switched to the Kury ISO grips but they didn't really help. One day I'll go back to the rubber mounts.

I bought the poly ones from the Harley dealer because I didn't want to wait for them.
I didn't notice anymore vibration but I sure noticed a lot tighter feel in the bars instead of that sloppy rubbery movement.

Well my tires were really low, I'm running 40 front and 42 rear now and the bike feels much better now.

I went on a 300 mile trip and this thing vibrated me to death -- I might have to get some highway pegs

40/42 is way too much!

For a single rider, the service manual says 30/36...and 30/40 with 2 up.
