If you got a service manual and a couple of hours it is pretty simple I agree with pontiac69 about a 5 on a scale 1-10

Look at Mudd's write up on molex connectors, looks a lot easier than splicing if you decide to so this yourself. Lots of good info on here about this subject. Looks fairly straight forward.

Well, after reading all these replys it seems I was a little hasty. Sincere apologies to anyone who was offended. I do thank everyone for the help, bars and risers ordered today, gonna just dig in and do it myself. Who knows, maybe I'll learn something for a change! I did find a real old - time bike shop in Dallas and gave them a visit today. The Old Bike Shop is what it's called, link here: http://www.theoldbikeshop.net/Home_Page.php. They seem to be good people, helped me out by answering questions for at least 1/2 an hour, and were glad to do it. Guys names are Butch and Aaron, good folks over there! Again, thanks for the help and encouragement - good people here, too!
