Default Ape hanger on Xbones issues!!

I have a beach bar on my 08 bones.

The look that I really want is 12 or 14" black ape hanger and I found what I want in 2 different styles on drag and road custom. I have two questions:

1. What is the best way to find out what length of cables do I need?
2. Same question for the riser?

Any input or personal experience is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check out magnum shieldings web sight they have good instructions on how to go about measuring. As far as the risers go i think it really all depends on the look and overall height your going for. I stuck with my stock risers. Good luck and keep us posted on what you go with!

I see where Burly are starting to offer complete kits containing bars and appropriate cables. So far, they're only available for Sportsters, but they'll make a killing when they offer the same thing for softails and baggers. I know I would be much more likely to change bars if I knew I was getting everything I need in one box.

Leave your risers..They are specific to Springers.

The bars you want will also have to be specific to springers cause the spacing is different.

There are many apehanger threads on here that can help you with cable length.

Check out bars by Wild 1..

Thumbs up

Thanks for your inputs. I am doing more research on the forum and on the web to get to what I want. I didn't know there were normal vs springer apes.

Thanks again...will update with pics when the job is done.

Cheers
