Update...
coming to the end of Break-in. I decided I needed to get her into sixth gear before the break in was complete. I did that today.
The performance of this moto is amazing. by far the largest moto I have ever had. I took it in and out of sixth gear various times and have really gotten to know the Dyna, and my own abilities. I have no need to ride FAST, but I do like to be in control. Breaking in a moto properly can really allow you to know the machine. this is the second moto that I have personally broken in myself.
I love the performance of the Dyna. it is sturdy and has torque. after I reach the 500 miles I will get it on the Dyno and compare it to the Dyno runs that I did on my XL.
BTW I saw the XL for sale at the dealer when I stopped by today. seems like forever since that moto was mine.
Loving my Dyna......
bump, for those looking to come to the Dyna from XL. I am now overdue for pics because I have gone ape and put a sundowner among other things. I have to work to keep this habit, which makes me want to quit so I can ride all day.......... nice problem. I guess I'll keep working for now.
pics coming soon...
Update...
I have done more riding now that the heavier bike treats highway riding like nothing at all. I am very happy to be on a Dyna.
I went ahead and got mini apes for the first time and am equally happy i did.
here is a new pic.
How do you like those short shots? I just ordered a set for mine they are supposed to be here in the morning. You running a tuner or anything with those?
this is my second set of shortshits(had em on the sportster too). I like the look and sound. I get em tuned on the dealers Dyno. I have a good tech there.
I am stage one AC as well with the HD racetuner.
