Default Saddle Bags for out Dyna's

Hey guys , thought I would start a thread since I have been shopping around online for some saddle bad ideas for my street bob.

Im torn between all these bags and was wondering what everyone else is using.

Just looking for something that I can commute to work worth or take to a day trip that will let me pack a jacket and maybe a lunch.

Uh, yeah. I think textile or nylon saddlebags are great for the rice they are mounted on in the pictures. But on a Dyna (you know, a bike that actually has style and class), not so much. I am sure they are functional and all...... but no.

heres another forum member.i like his set up. and im not a fan of leather myself. i was lucky to find hard bags, but with mounting and paint and everthing else that keeps me from instaling them is a hassle. you would be just fine with these. i just want the security of locks.

I really like my nelsonrigg bags that i used on my sportster for a long time when going on longer trips, they are built like iron and waterproof. I have the CL 850 bags, but i think they are bigger then you want, just look under the sport section there is alot in there.

Checkem out http://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/default.aspx

I just got a set of Saddlemen's bags that have the shock cutout so it sits closer to the bike. I've always been real leery about leather (or pleather) bags on a Dyna or Sporty, but I like them a lot.

one thing to think about is, anyone i know who uses QD saddle bags never takes them off, if you ride a lot they are indispensable, trips to the grocery store, hardware store, an extra sweater for when the sun goes down, rain gear, anything and everything. That is why i bit the bullet and got the bags i wanted which are iron bags, yeah they are expensive but it will be worth it. i hate trying to carry lunch on my lap on the bike, or a few things for dinner or what ever the need is. Then again my bike is my daily transport in the when there is no snow on the ground
