Super Glide Custom or Lowrider?
I'm looking at either a 2007 Super Glide Custom or a Low Rider.
I have not ridden the 2007's. I'm interested in opinions on which one of the two has a better ride. I've heard that the Low Rider's have a stiffer/harsher ride. Opinions in general on either bike are welcome

Go ride em yourself. My dealer here jumps at the chance to put you on a test ride.
Either of those machines will put a big smile on your face.

I haven't ridden either bike but I doubt the LR rides much differently than the SGC since they' both Dynas. I think the biggest difference will be in ride position which could translate to the perception that one rides more harshly than the other. With the upright riding position of the SGC your body is better prepared to comfortably absorb shock. The more "cruiser like" position on the LR will cause your back to feel more of the shock your bike doesn't absorb.

How tall are you ?
If you're on the short side like me (5'6") you might want the Low Rider so you can get your feet flat on the ground.
What you really need to do is go ride them, then decide what "you" want.
Do you want an all black motor or silver, the choice is up to you.
PS - Get a Bob.

I have a SGC and love it. Will likely get another bike someday, but can't imagine ever selling the SCG. In spite of that, my brother rides a Lowrider and loves it. Ride them both, stare at them both, one of them will reach out to you and that is the one you should get.

I have a 2007 Low rider. Only 120 miles the bike handles great, power is awsome. I weigh 165 and the shocks are set at #2. On potholes and big bumps it is a little harsh. I have not played with the spring preload yet. Maybe softer would help.

Both excellent bikes. About the same price too. I've never riden the SGC but it's a beauty. I've just always like the Low Rider. It feels right when I'm on it. I probably could have changed the bars on SG when I looked at it but I went for the Low Rider.

I'm 5'11" with a 34 inseam. Touching the ground isn't an issue. Some of the guys at my local Harely dealership said that because of the roughly 1" lower seat height, the LR loses some of the softer spring rate in the comp damping. Thus, the harsher ride. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

The LR got it's name due to the fact the front and back end suspensions were "lowered". Normally this translates into a harsher ride. A buddy of mine has a CVO 2005 Electra Glide, it has lowered suspension. My bud hates the ride quality, really misse his old Electra, he bitches about the ride all the time.
