Agreed. It wont cost you a penny to list on ebay as a classified ad. I did this a few years ago on my old bike. Sold within 2 weeks. Again its free when yo list it as a classified ad. Not an auction but you put a listing price. O did i mention its free.
On another note. Has the OP even listed a pic as of yet. I noticed a few people say 'how about a pic".
Well Book values are usally what a dealer with some sort of warranty can use as a starting point but there some nice deals out there but even people that could buy a toy right now are not willing to risk the money not knowing what all the necessities are going to cost next week. Maybe a sign on the curb might be your best bet but if it's priced right it will catch the eye of an able buyer. Good luck.
Your price is very close to what someone can pick up a soft tail for, look at the completed listings on eBay sometimes you have go through a few pages before you find a completed sale over $10,000. I would use this forum and Craigslist both of these show up real well in searches and of course eBay, if your eBay account does not have some feedback find a buddy with lots of positive feedback to list it for you.
Well, greenstreetbob, I AM a rider. I have reasons for selling the bike that readers on this site do not need to know, so give the judgements a rest please. I guess I was living in fantasyland, expecting to sell the bike for what it is actually worth. Thx for the input.
That truely wasn't directed at you. It was simply a statement about the depreciation. Didn't mean to kick you while you are down. I don't intend to be an *******, it just comes naturally. Good luck selling it.
