Iwould let the wife decide how to spend it,,, << stated while wife was looking over my shoulder(she thinks I let her decide how it is all spent if she only knew how much I had spent on changes,)[sm=chairshot.gif]
But it may be best to spend some on the S/O then the rest on upgrades...I also think suspension or chrome swingarm but my taste may not be yours..enjoy it

Well Todd, thats a nice bonus to spend on the bike. I would say get the cosmetic's done first. Since your allready on your way there. The bike is new, so the engine upgades could wait for another year or two. I doubt you would wait two for an engine upgrade.. Anyway, the suspension ugrade is easy and like you said a new front wheel would be great. I added progressive's to the rear and put heavier oil in my front sliders. The ride is better.

With the money left over you could get a tuner installed like a Sert or PCIII, then you would ready for the engine upgrades.

Just my 1 cent...

Suspension
Engine work

I'd go for something that'll make that seat kick you in the as$ when you give the grip a twist. Bike looks great now you've gotta give it the 'umph' to go with it.

Or is that "umf"?

I've been really thinking about this for the last couple days and think I've at least narrowed it down to two. I'm either going to go with the front wheel...or I'm gonna upgrade the suspension...like Dennis said...some Progressives out back and maybe some upgraded fork oil. I can't imagine this will cost me the entire amount I have put asside (Dennis...any guesstimate on that?)...and with that, I could do the swingarm..or maybe a tach...not sure yet.
If I go with the wheel, I figure that will run me the full amount I planned on spending...of course, there are a lot of wheel choices. Today I was at the dealer and became even more confused as to what I like. The mirror chrome Thunderstar looks really nice...I still like the Roadwinder...there are a few others that might work as well.
That said...I'm leaning more towards the suspension upgrades...I've done so much chrome and visual stuff over the last year and a half..that I just think it's time to enhance the ride quality now. As far as the engine...I just decided...yes...it is always better to have more....but I'm just not using nearly what I have...so it's really unnecessary at this point. Maybe in the future, I'll be thinking about it again...but for now, it's not what I want to do.

Thanks for the replies.

Todd

I went with the 412's which are about $220-240, depending on where you get them. The 440's are twice that. I'm satisfied with the 412's. I would give you a hand doing the swap of the shock's and oil if you wanted, even the swing arm. I would say suspension parts with oil and shipping $260?? You could probably get the swing arm and tach then you would be set. The tach is plug in if you get the combo model. One Sat or Sun, we would be done.

If you decide to do the work yourself we could work it out later.
