The pics I saw having it coming out of a factory crate with a shipping tag that said 2013 FXDX made in Kansas City. I think it's the real deal.
Saw the same pics. If I could just buy better forks and brakes for mine at a reasonable price, then there is no need for the new one. I like the forks a lot though. I have seen before where guys have adapted sport touring bike forks to fit. Need custom trees and wheels though. I've also seen Ducati and GSX1000 forks used. The rear shocks are the easy part. Ohlins in Japan make some sweet lowers for the stock forks, but they cost around $5,000.

Most of those parts just like like off the shelf XR1200 stuff. I bet i could take a late model dyna and a bunch of XRX1200 parts and do the same thing.
