ok..I have a 06 bob and have applied the turn signal relocation kit that harley sells. Besides the fact it looks like crap. I no joke HATE IT and was wondering what they were thinking of when they designed it.If I wanted wings I would buy a plane...??
Anyhowhasanyone found any cool aftermarket clamps or brackets..??
Are you talking about the front turn signals? If so,I agree. Kuryakyn sells som 49 mm clamps that bring the sigs in close to the tubes, looks a lot better.
they look sweet jmbear328, i just recieved my kury clamps but as yet have not mounted them, the indicator stem bolts supplied seemed to be metric or some sh*t. I know there are threads outlining how to wire them, seems there are a couple of ways to achieve it, just wondering how you went about wiring yours.
do whkat i did i hate the front turn signals on my wideglide spent alot of money on the chrome front and have these bug eyes on the forks, so i took them off, and now have the h.d. mirrors with turn sig on them cleaned up front,
Has anyone seen anything that mounts like the H-D relo kit but keeps signals tight to the forks?
Bob
Amen...that's what I'm actually looking for. I prefer the signals coming off of the lower tree and not on a tube clamp as I think it looks cleaner that way. I haven't seen anything that keeps them tight coming off the tree unfortunately.
I did the Kury clamps too, and I actually like them quite a bit. I lined mine up with the headlight instead of down by the trees.
I had to buy different bolts though. The ones that come phrom Kury are the wrong thread spacing. I got a couple of hex bolts phrom a local pump supply place, and then in order to get them to be completely in the clamp depression phor the bolt head, I had to grind down the hex head enough so that I had something to grip it with and make it tight, but still phit in the clamp.
This is an older picture of the mod when I was using spacers on them. I have since removed the spacers, and the signals are right up against the clamps.
