Done deal. I'll check and see if there is anyone willing to swap or something. But it looks like something I'm gonna do. Thanks for the help!

To remove the inner primary, you'll need a primary locking tool, some big sockets (forget sizes off the top of my head) and a torque wrench to ensure torque values are correct when reinstalling the clutch basket and the compensator sprocket ... there are a couple of options of the primary locking tool ... there is a kind of stair-step wedge you can use or a 7" flat stock that wedges between the sprockets ... but, you'll need to buy or borrow one to remove and install the primary ...

Not trying to scare you off ... as I say, it is not that difficult ... you will probably want to buy a manual for your model year if you do not already have one ...

Good luck ... post up any specific questions when you get started ... there are a ton of people on here who've done it ...

I made my own primary locking tool. I estimated the size from the picture and cut up a bar of Delrin. It's easy to cut and if you're steady, you can use a hack saw or a recip saw to give it the stairstep shape. Don't use nylon because the sprocket teeth will just go through it. The size I used was 1/4" high steps and 1/2" long run. Worked great.

If i were going to change the inner and outer primary covers, i'd be putting in a 30 tooth pulley (https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...y-install.html) <- this was a nice write up with pics, it will give you an idea of what you may be facing
