They've got windshields. The guy is not actively looking to sell, it's our mutual friend that's trying to get it in motion to benefit us both. The reason I ask for the value now versus waiting until he tells me what he wants is so when we get on the topic of cost I know a bit more to make a counter offer.

So far he hasn't called me...and it's frustrating the hell out of me.

ill agree with you on the 2000 , cool bike . but on your 83 , have you tried to buying primary parts or tranny for that puppy , and hows it shift compared to a newer bike , dont get me wrong i love my fxr , but its sitting in my shop waiting for me to fix it more than it gets rode .
now would i buy a 94 fxrp ? in a heartbeat for the right price

Just got the 83 and it shifts fine. Parts, well, TG for ebay and CL. And it was the 2000 that I was talking about regarding an older bike that runs well - lol.

mine shifts ok but not great and dont try to find nutrael with bike running . took me 4 month to find an inner primary when mine cracked , its down now waiting for new ring gear and drive gear
