battery suggestions

I went with a X2 AGM from Batteries Plus. It has a 2 year warranty, if I keep my receipt. After a $10.00 rebate was $105. Autozone, Advance Auto and O'Rielly all had Batteries similar to the X2 and HD, but less warranty. O'Rielly offered 1 yr for $90 and its made by East Penn. HD and Autozone have 6 mo for more $$$.
The old battery was on a tender, but not sure how that would keep the post from breaking. It still had plenty of power, but... Also it had the standard MC type of box posts and was taller because of that. PIA to get in and out.

in 20 plus yrs of riding i never took care of my battery and would buy a cheap die hard every 2 yrs, when i got a new bike in 06 i still never took care of my battery and that battery is STILL good! i just put it in my old ladys 2000 sporty and bought a new HD battery for mine . I now use a battery tender on all bikes and would recomend the HD battery , a little more expensive but i NEVER had one last that long

Bought my Deuce new in '06, use a battery tender since '08 and the battery is ready to be changed. Though it still works fine when I put it on my tender yesterday after running some errands it only went to fifty percent charge, at first, and slowly went to full, where before it went to seventy five, at first. Looking for a shorter battery this time as the original touches the bottom of my seat pan bumper. Original is 5 7/8" h., looking for one 5 1/2" or less with same cranking stats..
