That's crazy. I just checked mine and they are like new, no rust. Do you store your bike outside?

My guess is its from the all the salt water "in the air"...

I had the same problem with my 09 Super Glide Custom. The fix is to use some barillo pads or wire stainless steel and soap to remove the unsightly rust spots, then take a hand held hair dryer and quickly dry the spokes. After drying the spokes use an spray can of clear coat or go to the art store and get a protective spray can of clear lacquer for about $8 bucks apply lightly in well vented area.

I do live in fla but the bike is in garage but your probably correct with salt water.
by buddy has a deuce same problem
