Is it possible to flare a windshield? I have a detachable one for my 2012 wideglide and since I am a tall guy, I either need a taller windshield or I thought I might try to see if I can flare to top a bit to help deflect the wind up over my head...
Anyone have any experience with this?? I would think heating it with a heat gun slowly and bending/rolling it over a large diameter pipe might work...
Call Clearview and get both taller with a flare - their "blems" don't cost much and really aren't blems at all, I got one and couldn't see any flaws even though I knew where to look. This one is 5" taller than stock with a recurve, they have shorter ones as well.
I have an old QD windshield I recently bastardized. I'll see if I can use a heat gun on one of the left over pieces. I'll let you know how it behaves. I use a heat gun on Kydex pretty frequently but I have a feeling this material might behave a bit different.
