Burnouts aren't necessary to wear tires prematurely. Excessively quick starts and stops, cornering at high speed, failing to synchronize shifts, failing to maintain proper tire pressure, misalignment, tire imbalance, overloading ...can all lead to early failure.

Thank you Tim, and everyone else, just ordered my tires, 120/70/21 and 170/60/17 from DK, 345 shipped, couldn't really find any cheaper. I still can't believe how limited of a selection there is in matching tires when you move away from OEM sizes. Used to selection of car tires with staggered fits and such.
