Thank you everyone! This is what I expected - a mixed review. I think mids or forwards are both great, but I am going to try the reduced reach forwards for now. My nephew was putting them on for me and broke something with the brake line, so my ex husband has been here for two days working on getting everything right. Hopefully, next week I can ride. Gotta get either a different seat or have mine cut down on the sides too. THANKS ALL!

try a reduced reach seat at the dealership to test see if you can reach with it before you move controls. a member on here has foward controls and he has reduced seat he said it works for him (hes short just so you know).
You realize you are asking her to make her bike ugly in order to keep some forward controls? That seat should be banned from existence.
I think you should go with mids. I bet you could find someone that wants forwards and do a complete swap with them for next to nothing. I am same height as you and I run the stock mids on my Street Bob and I am comfortable. I like being able to "stand up or get my *** off the seat" before hitting a big bump in the road too. I also think the mids "inspire confidence" when going deep in the corners. With that said, I have toyed with the idea of going with the reduced reach forwards but I may try the highway peg kit first. However, since I am comfortable, they are not top priorities for me and will prolly never happen untill I run out of things to do on the bike.

The OE forwards were just barely tolerable for me with my 30" inseam. Highway pegs would be totally usless. The reduced reach peg kit did the trick for me.
I'm 5'7" with 31 inch inseam and the stock forwards on my Wide Glide are fine. I'll never go back to mids. I get no leg or knee soreness at all with the forwards and I've done 550mile days back to back. Love em.

Everyone is built differently and will have a different opinion on this. I am 6' tall with a 30" inseam. If HD had named me I would be Lowrider. I have highway pegs and although they offer some comfort to stretch out once in a while, it kill my back in that position. But all the ergonmics aside, mids offer me the most steady and balanced feel. So even if forwards were an option for me I wouldn't ride a bike with them.

Aggread that everyone is different. And "to each his own". But you ought to atleast give it a try?
