I cant remember if yours has the eyebrow mount of the tree mount. If its the eyebrow, can you try the original bucket from Li's bike? I think yours came with the eyebrow, but I could be mistaken and I'm thinking of Stoner Dave's. If you cant find Li's, I think I still have the one I yanked from Sally's.
The sporty won;t work as it has the eyebrow and my Dyna has a tab on the triple tree the light mounts to. I hadn't even thought about that. I'll figure it out eventually.
Could the mounting block that attaches to the bottom tree be rotated 180 degrees?? I've looked at mine and if the mounting block was rotated it would move the headlamp forward. Just a thought.
I'll figure this out when I get my HID and am ready to install it. Still can't see anything in the morning when it is still dark. I can't believe I have not done this yet and am just whining about it.
On a side note the Sporty is getting turned into a xldx. Put the T sport rims on it yesterday and the shocks are going on today. Now if I can only talk the wife (who rarely rides the bike) into a fairing we will be set. Anyone who is interested in a set of black Progressive 440 shocks in 13.5" let me know. $250. I'll snap some pics when they come off the sporty today.
My Laminar lip showed up yesterday. The y are local which I did not realize. I have it clamped on the shield with the Dual Lock curing and since it is raining again on my day off (I almost understand snow now) I will put it back on the bike when it dries up. It is clear and my shield is solid black, but as long as it lessens buffeting I will be happy. With my full face there are no issues but the new glasses I got are much looser than my old ones I broke so we will see what happens. I have still not been able to take the bike for a proper shakedown since putting the new shocks on due to weather. I thought this was SoCal. It must be El Nino this year.

We're waiting patently for details on the Sporty mods!!
I rode the sporty home last night after about a month of being at the shop. I had the rear shocks set as soft as they can be and the ride was terrible. Granted the freeway home is bumpy as all hell, I will do some tinkering this weekend and see what I can do. I guess i am spoiled by how smooth my FXDXT rides. The DXT rims look killer, the shocks look killer but it needs to be adjusted as it rode better with the progressive 440's that were on it. As far as fairing etc, it all has to be cleared through the wife which is a tedious process. I have found adding stuff and saying nothing is the best way to do this. It's never the money, it's she wants to have a say in it when i am the one who knows about it and she does not. Drives me crazy.
