Default V&H Slip Ons Problem

Ok... I installed some Vance & Hines 3" Slash Down Slip Ons on my '11 Wide Glide and I love 'em. But, had her out for a run yesterday evening and noticed some popping on deceleration.
Any ideas on what the problem could be? I'm gonna check the clamps again, make sure they're snug, but should I venture to the dealer for a download if thats not the problem? Part of the reason I went with slip ons was so I wouldn't have to mess with the EFI or buy a fuel management system. What does everyone think?

Pipes alone shouldn't affect your tune...possibly leak @ clamp (pipe/header joints). Did you use HT silicone on the joints + torque to spec?

Thanks! There is no torque value given by V&H for the clamps. Any idea on a number I should use?
I'm also gonna try some of the HT Silicone too. Should I just put it directly on the pipe end and then insert it into the header pipe?

This is part of a message I got from a tech at Zippers who is helping me with a backfire issue. I know it refers to touring bikes with left side pipes, but the free flow exhaust and crossover pipe seem to be the cause for some of this. They do sell what they call a pop stopper for $4.49 but it's just a freeze plug with a hole in the middle.

"When using the stock head pipe with an open muffler, air can be pulled in the left side muffler (primary side). The way the left side pipe is connected to the head pipe makes low pressure in that pipe. The air then passes over the O2 sensor and the sensor see it as a lean condition and starts to add fuel that is not needed to the rear cylinder. Zippers has a product to help with this it is called the pop stopper. It is a freeze plug with a hole drilled in the center to slow down the air entering the pipe. The pop stopper is install by removing the left muffler and putting it in the pipe. When the muffler is reinstalled the clamp for the muffler holds the pop stopper in place. The other thing is to change the muffler or the head pipe."

If you have no leaks this might be something to consider. It's nothing new, I've heard of riders using freeze plugs. This is the first I've seen coming from a place like Zippers.
