Default HELP! Super Glide won't start

HELP! I have an 08 superglide, nothing fancy. As of a few days ago she won't start, won't crank, nothing. Everything goes smooth up to the start. Lights come on when I put in the key, fuel pump hums when I turn the run switch on. Just no crank and start. I put new batteries in the key fobs. It is in neutral, and I hold down the clutch. Just nothing happens when I hit start. Any ideas?

Bad battery or battery connections. Get an auto electrician to test the battery under load and check the connections. If that's not it could be a bad starter or relay.

If you blinkers are flashing, either one, it means that the alarm is in kill ignition mode. Perhaps you moved it a little when it was off and set, and triggered the tssm. Happened to me once and I hit the turn signal switch that was flashing and it started.

if the switch was off the fuel pump wouldnt hum. If the battery level drops to a certain point the ecu wont allow the starter to function

Love these 1st "help" posts...check your battery which should be @ 12.6-12.7V w/meter. If it's less then time for replacement.

Editing for clarity.

And, if the simple things don't work............... (after you've checked to make sure your battery is good etc.) check the starter relay. It could have blown. You'll need to take a look at a service manual for the exact location in your fuse box (power distribution box), but it should be a four prong - or possibly five prong relay. That would be the first thing I'd check after the battery. If the battery and the relay are good check the start switch. Finally you'll work you way down to the starter solenoid and the starter itself.

If you want to take a shortcut you can go directly to the solenoid and use a multimeter to determine whether you are getting 12v current to the solenoid and the starter. If not you'll need to track back up the circuit.

Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it. And I'll keep you informed about when I'm back on two wheels.
