Taillight/license plate relocation
I just sealed up the the rear fender on my '07 FXD for the taillight and license plate holder having the idea of side mounting both but saw a few posts saying they used the turn signals for everything...turn signals, brake light and running light all in one. I definitely like this idea but not sure how to go about it. Has anyone done this that can give me some advice or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

I used a Badlands Run/Break/Turn module, with a built-in load equalizer and switched to LED tails. These are MUCH brighter, which is a good idea if these are going to be your only rear lights.
The Badlands product was recommended to me when I asked the same question you are now, and I've been happy with it.

I did it on my 04 it is easy, I used a road 6 side mount with the model A tail light and a run/brake/turn module. I am going to buy the LED tail light for the model A light from speedway motors. I used the stock harness from the seat back and just rewired it. You do not need load equalizer just for the LED tail light but will if you do LED turn signals.
