Last year I installed the stage I screaming eagle. Before buying at the stealer, I asked and they told me that if I only changed the air filter, I shouldn't have to re tune.
Since I changed the AC, the beast has a ard time to start. Last week I went back to stealer, and now they tell me that sometimes, re tuning it's necessary, even if I just changed the AC. ($250)
What it's your experience with this situation?
I put back the original and ugly AC for now.... but it bothers me.

Not in my experience. You can swap out A/C and pipes on a 2006+ bike and it will run pretty much as before. Swapping out just the A/C should make little enough difference.
You tried the obvious of some new spark plugs?

I also checked the batteriy cables to make sure that they are tight.... ( removed battery and clean contacts and re-installed)...
Maybe it's just normal that HDs has hard time to start..
