Talking Dyna vs Softail solved!
So the wife and I take a trip through the back roads today. We get home and with a devilish grin she looks at me and says "I really like how the bike shakes at the stop lights" and then walks away.

Sold, case closed, mystery solved!

My GF doesn't like riding mine...she just likes sitting on it and opening it up for a couple of minutes. Then she goes and takes a nap...mmm.
