Default Drill struts

Would it affect the struts if I drilled whole big enough to pull brake/turn wires through to get them from under the fender. I'm running the burly slammer kit and I've chewed the wires for the last time I hope

No. Moved mine forward. the only purpose is to support the rear fender and passenger seat if you have one.

Yea my wife rides some but not much. I figured a hole just big enough for the wires would not affect the strength of the struts that much

You completely ignored passenger and payload weight. Why intentionally ruin an integral (forged, welded-to-the-frame) part of the bike?

I keep chewing the wires up under the fender. That's the reason I want to run the wires through the struts but I will just drill a hole big enough for the wires.

Take a look at his scoot, pretty sure he isn't going to be hauling anything back there.
