Crankcase sensor leak
Wondering if anyone has heard of this before.
My 06 StreetBob started leaking oil around the crankcase sensor on the way to Rolling Thunder. Reminded me of my old iron head marking it's spot. Appeared to be pushing oil out at the sensor-first thought was the O ring had gone bad-after riding the bike home and pulling the sensor -found that the rubber/plastic case around the sensor itself had melted,exposing the metal prong and the oil in fact is being pushed out throught the wire connection . O ring was fine .
No sign of rubbing(on the crack) just a melted blob. Never heard of the sensor casing melting before. Can't image how it got that hot? Anyone else experience this?
