Rattle when braking

Rattle when braking

Have been noticing a rattle while braking, was thinking it was coming from the fuel tank since the front thru bolt that secures it has excessive play. have attempted to insulate the bolt and retorque it but noise is still present. have 7k on bike and have not serviced forks or did fall away test yet. Notice primarily when using front brake. Any suggestions appreciated.

Front engine mount?
Try searching, there are a few threads regarding the rattle "vibration" of the bad front mount and while clutch in/braking...

Well buddy your tank should be nice and secure. Add washers if you have to, and check ther rear tank mount as well. Whole job is ten miutes. check your whole front end for anything loose including the heat shields...... in thos same ten minutes

Is it more of a buzzing sound?If it is it's from the brake rotor,air passes through the slots causeing a buzz like sound/feel.I was told this is normal when applying front brake.

Am familiar with sound your describing thats not my issue.

Think im gonna start with servicing the forks. Will update with my results, also gonna change front motor mount since its smoked. May take me several weeks to accomplish but will update with my results.
