Been considering a new seat, but was thinking about going with tan or brown as the color. Anyone out there have any pics of non-black seats that they could post?
Here's a pic of a Triumph with a seat like the colors I'm thinking of:
Been thinking similar thoughts myself but haven't looked too hard for one yet. Have you considered reupholstering the stock seat? Will be interested to see what others come up with.
I have thought about reupholstering the stock seat.. guy says he can cut it down..and is work is incredible.....He says about 550 a seat....My other option is to go with a c&c....I would like to see some other bikes with different color seats............http://www.roberticustoms.com/tooledleatherseats.html
several years ago when I owned a sportster I bought a stock solo seat for cheap off ebay and had a local upol.shop redo the seat with a nice leather seat and it turned out great. Allowed me to switch back between seats and the leatherwas 1st class. just an idea. Good luck.
What color leather is your seat considered? I was thinking a darker brown like you have on your bike. The one I posted earlier looks more tan than I was thinking, but at the time it was the only picture of a brown seat I could find.
I was also thinking of going with brown saddlebags, but those seem to be tough to find too.
I wasn't really considering recovering my stock seat since it is not too comfortable on longer rides. Been considering a C&C seat or a Corbin. The one I posted originally is a Corbin seat forTriumph Bonneville America or Speedmaster. If recovering the stock seat is going to cost me $500+, I'd probably go with a Corbin, but I don't like the idea of buying that expensive of a seat without seeing exactly what color the leather is. I'm in the Midwest, so I can't really stop by Corbin. I'm hoping they may be able to send me a couple of small samples in the mail or something. We'll see.
