Did you loosen the pinch bolts at all and one of your forks slide up/down the trees at all during the install? Are you sure both spacers are identical height? Sounds like your forks are not even.

Make sure the distance of fork tubes sticking out above the upper trees is the same on both sides of the bike.

Just guessing here.

Good things for me to check..but I am pretty sure the spacers are the same length..I loosened the upper pinch bolt only when i installed the drop in. It rides fine. But I will check all of the above. I was fixing to run to Lowes or somewhere and pick up a piece of PVC to make the spacer longer and try that. Anyone remember what size it is without me haveing to take it out?

Me neither, you add preload you'd think the springs would be stiffer??

My 49mm tubes take 1-1/4" ID (1-5/8" OD) PVC - I used SCH80 PVC 'cuz it's beefier. And I agree with your thinking on the length of the spacer: the longer the spacer the more spring compression and the firmer the ride, same as when you adjust the pre-load on the rear shocks.....

Any of y'all do the install of new suspension yourself? I just got the slammer kit for my rear, and have discovered a problem. I can't find anyone who sells a lift/jack that will clear under my wide glide even before the new suspension. What type of lift do any of you use?

Do a search and you'll see most guys use a Sears or Harbor Freight cycle lift.
I use a small scissors jack similar to this: lift.
Take note that the rear of the Dyna frame is uneven and you will need to use an "adapter" on the exhaust side to keep the bike level while it's on the lift.

I'm not sure how it works either. Maybe it has to do with suspension travel. If you use a smaller spacer to lower the bike you would probably want it to be stiffer so you don't bottom out and blow your seals. Maybe the longer spacers allow the shock oil more flow so it's softer. With the shorter spacer it's the same amount of oil if I remember right, so there would be less dampening when lowered? Just thoughts, I couldn't find anything that explained why.

Well I do have the answer...The longer the PVC did help. Shocked the hell out on me. I went up to a 2 1/8" spacer from a 1 1/2" spacer and now i can move it and it did ride 10x better. So glad i a least tried it cause i was looking at buying something else. And I have searched on here and i havent found a answer to where they said it helped. On the Bike lift...I got the one from Harbor Freight..its great. It will pick a bike way up...and i mean way up there. Im not comfortable with my bike being 3 or 4 feet off the ground. But I have a small bench that when i pick it up that high i will slide it under the lift and let the bike rest on that and it is rock solid. If it has 3 inches it will go under it and is wide enough to where the frame guard that sticks down on the frame it will clear it with no problem.
