Default Progressive Drop in on a 2010 Wide glide

I installed this on my wide glide. I cut the spacer to 1 1/2" like I seen some folks did on here...but this thing seems to have no movement at all. Dont know if this is was to expect or should it have some movement. IT rides pretty dam firm for sure. Just want some feed back. Called progressive any they said lengthen the spacer and it should help it. So I am gonna try that. If not whats a better way to lower the front and get a decent ride?
Thanks

It's gonna be firm. I just did my street bob and it the same. If you wanted to keep the same ride you could have loosened the top trees and slid the tubes up.

Well put it like this. It moves very little. When I brake it doesnt seem to move...when i sit on it it doesnt move..and when i accelerate it doesnt extend. just making sure thats what its suppose to do..looks way good...just ride rough.

I used 2 inch spacers on mine and it feels great. I'm using AMSOIL med shock therapy shock oil. I have no brake dive and the forks don't extend when I pin it, but it is not rough over bumps and rail road tracks. I love the way they feel and to me was a lot smoother then stock. I can only comment with the 2 inch spacer because I read on the forum of several people running the 1.5 inch or less spacer saying it was rough and that the 2 inch was perfect and I have no complaints.

I going to give the 2" spacer a shot but dont know how that would help. Seems to me like it would be the same but sit a little higher.

I have Prog Std springs in my forks and the front end is definitely less mushy than before, with just a slightly firmer ride. One thing you might double-check is the fork oil level - too much or too little can have a negative effect on fork action.

I only have 1/2" spacer on mine and filled it with Screaming Eagle Heavy Fork oil and although its much firmer than stock, I still have smooth movement. I can watch them move with the road surface as I am riding along.

Since you have a Wide Glide though, I recall having to use longer spacers to have same amount of lowering or ride height on those bikes.

Well I have a 1 1/2" spacer..and just sitting on the bike I have to do all I can do to rock it and make it go down a 1/4". I am going to try the 2" spacer and check the fliud. It that is not better is there another method to lower these and get a better ride.

There really is no way to lower any vehicle, using just springs, and get a softer ride. It's always gonna be firmer than stock.

yea..i guess I was thinking there could be a set up that rides good for the first 1" then if you hit a pot hole the bottom half would be stiffer so it wouldnt bottom out. I also have notice That since I put it in my front tire is wearing a little funny. Now I herd complaints on the factory rubber not being worth a turd didnt know if anyone else has noticed such. Ride with about 35 pounds in the Front Tire.
