I have looked high and low now for a heel toe shifter for my 2007 FXD. I even tried the one from the HD catolog but it did not work and returned it. Any idea's where to get one? It's hard for me to belive they don't exist for low riders/ superglides.
do they even make heel - toe shifters for mid controls? my wife put a heel rest on her mid controls but took them off after one ride because they were exactly were you would try to place your foot downward when coming to a stop to catch the weight of the bike. you either have to place your feet to the outside or backward quite a bit to reach the ground and then your legs are not straight. and if you try to push the bike backwards, you bang your shins on the heel rest (or heel shifter if it were there). very inconvenient.
I know what you're looking for. They came stock on (I think) 1984 - 1994 FXRT and FXRP's. Cast aluminum 1 piece heel toe shift levers. Did you try ebay?
Hang on a sec.... .... .... ....
I tried ebay and nothing came up, maybe next week. Maybe your dealer could find you one, but be prepared I replaced the one on my '91 FXRP and I think it was close to $120.00 (not chrome).

Hi Boxjoint, like I said before on my thread, these are v difficult to get hold of. I looked up the part number for the police shifter (I can't remember just what it is now) and carried away bashing it into Google and Fleabay until I found one. It took me 2-3 months.

Good luck. W.
See, that is what surprises me. Harleys are the most popular cruiser and the dyna model is more than ever popular. Yet they make heel toe shifters for everything EXCEPT the harley dyna. I might be forced to break out the welding torch and hack up an e-bay stock shifter to make a proper heel toe unit.
I found these 2 shifters on ebay. Do a search for these 2 item numbers- 4642234576 and 200015960395. Once in a while one will show up at a cheaper cost, but this is what's available as of today.
Hope it helps.
E-bay has 2 versions currently listed, chrome and plain alumium. Checking the Zanotti parts pricing tool along with Chicago HD, both are available without any problem, brand new for about $69.00 chrome or $47.00 plain.
I think you'll find these shifters are the type which fit on bikes with footboard kit #50601.01 or similar (like the police pattern). The footboard hangs on two brackets and the shifter fits on a pivot shaft on the front bracket with a lever and a rod back to the transmission lever.
What Boxjoint wants is a shifter like mine which drops straight onto the primary jocky shaft splines just above the peg. These are truly the ones which are like rocking horse **** to get hold of.
