Warm up ... do it while you're riding. Start the bike and go. Take it easy for the first couple of miles. Whether you're sitting still or moving, the engine is running either way. There's zero benefit to sitting still, and more benefits from riding (like getting the trans moving and warmed up too).

I usually let my bike warm up for about 20 minutes. When the temp is around 90-100*F, I reduce warmup time to 15 minutes. Then I take off slowly for about 5 miles.

Your neighbors are ok with waking up at 2am when you go to work?

The dealer told me when the oil resovoir is warm to the touch, it's warmed up.

SRT Engineers said 180 degree oil temp is safe for going WOT as a reference point for their 6.1 liter engine. Good baseline to use.

20 min? Thats a bit much and being that the bike is air cooled probably bad. A minute at the most is plenty. As long as Oils circulating and your easy for the next couple minutes your fine. As you ride it will heat up everything quicker.
