That's funny!
It's a $10 part change the filter. I use synthetic in my bike and change it Every 5000 miles in the winter months and every 3000 miles in summer months ..just because of the night temps I ride in in the summer months.

I like changing my oil every 2 - 2.5k myself (overkill on purpose) and I always change the filter. Honestly, I would be more worried about the filter than the oil.

I use mobil-1 v-twin 20w50 synthetic .

I change the oil and filtor every 5000 milles .

I just switched from conventional oil to this mobil 1 vtwin 20/50 full syn. Upon 1st fire it ran smoother. Could be me though. Would you change it every year if you dont hit the 5k. I only got 3000 last year so i figured i would change it
