Have you ever bought anything for your bike that didn't fit right, look right or work right? Did you send it back or did you just deal with it? If you sent it back, did you believe it should have been made better for your money or repaired right and returned? If not, I'd like to see all of the expensive things that you still own that you keep because you like to waste money.
Guess not....

I'm a personal trainer. I deal with people all day every day.

It's my job to make you more healthy and fit, but at a certain point, the responsibility is no longer on me, it's on you. You come to see me 2 or 3 times a week and I do my job, programming workouts, designing nutrition plans, charting your progress, speaking with you about goals, keeping an open dialogue about what's working and what isnt, etc. But I can't follow you home. So your success with me has to do as much with what you do when you're not with me as it does what we do together

In much the same way the shop has your bike for a snapshot moment. You have your bike every single day. It's your responsibility to do maintenance, checks, and minor repairs so that your bike stays safe and reliable and only has to go in for oil changes.

Cry all you want, at the end of the day the onus is on you. If you want to talk about shitty American attitude, look in the mirror...it starts with people not being accountable and waiting for someone else to step in and fix **** for them.

Good day to you sir.

I fail to see the correlation...

I've shown through the use of proper grammar, syntax, impeccable diction, and valid arguments that I'm far from retarded. The gentleman asked about my profession, so I stated it.

Make your point.

Yes this bloke is an ex Suzuki mechanic etc, but if you have a problem with your bike you explain to the garage what you think the problem is and it's their responsibility to diagnose the fault and they fix the problem. After all they are supposed to be the experts and that's what you pay a garage to do. I am not a home mechanic and my mechanical skills are limited so I pay someone to look after my bike. Thats keeping people in paid jobs and makes the world go round. Nothing wrong with that.

Name calling is actually the most un-educated/retarded thing you can default to b/c it shows you are out of brain power to continue logical debate. Personally, I didn’t like the OP attitude. For an "ex-metric bike mechanic" he sure has crappy attitude about investigating what is likely just bad gas or just the Harley shake on his own. 4 out of 4 dealers told him to take a walk and it was totally unjustified?? Please. Maybe that’s why he's no longer a “mechanic”. Also, he got his answer from this forum and just went on to bad mouth HD and say how great metric bikes are bla bla bla… That’s BS for this forum and never goes un-checked. I hope the OP just sells his HD and goes back to Jap bikes b/c nothing sucks more than someone who owns a HD and just whines over every little “perceived” problem. In the end, you will either OWN a Harley or just ride one.

Easy with all that logic. Sensitive minds 'round these parts.
