PM grip install and cable adjustments

I just got in my Performance Machine grips in today and installed them. On the throttle side, I have a question about the cables. I slowly removed the old grips without moving the cable adjusters and they even went on just fine. My concern was when it was all completed, the drip was rather loose. I tightened up both cables, but how much play should each side have? Right now, I hardly have any play when opening up the throttle, and there is very little when it is fully released. Should I go back to the "factory" settings that were very loose, or am I just fine where I am at? It has been 20 years since I last installed grips, so I am like a novice here again!

Adjust the throttle cables to the feel you prefer, I like mine with very little slop in them, as long as you do not over tighten or take out all play you will be fine.
