Default Help on new grips

OK folks, I've got this post going on Touring but no responses yet. I'm in the middle of this install. I have the right grip off, switch housing apart, loosened the cable adjusters but don't have any play in the cables, can't get them out of the old grip. Suggestions PLEASE!
Thanks.

I usually take the covver off to expose the cables(after I loosen the adhusters). I will twist the throttle gripto put slack in one cable. You can the release the throttle cable or roll it slighly the other way. You can then ge the other cable off.

Make sure your cable adjustment is backed all the way off on both cables.. With switch housings un- screwed and lifted out of the way, use a scribe/pic, small screw driver to help in aid of removing the cables from the old grip. They have little ferrels that slip out of the grip, carefull they can fall and hit the ground, then of course its cussin time. Anyway. pretty easy deal. Just gettin those cables off can be a pain sometimes. Good luck,

Thanks guys. I was being too conservative. Once I had enough slack in the cables it was ten minutes work to install the new one.
