Default Beer and Heat Shields

I changed my baffles out AGAIN and on my V&H SSS and things were going well until I TRIED to put the shields back on and destroyed 4 clamps added more stress and threw tools like a 4yr old. I said F-IT and my neighbor and I finished every beer I had including the Grappa from Italy, old Jack Daniels and had a NICE "CHAT" with my bride. I LOVE WORKING ON MY BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And no the bike is still not done,Like I told Joe/JRK I will do it today SOBER.........

My question is...how are you destroying the shield clamps..?? Just need a screwdriver w/socket-end...no need to torque them w/air gun.

I know...I know - you had your "beer muscles" all revved-up...

It’s those so called easy jobs that will get yah every time.
For me anyway, that’s why I have some else do it.
I’ll drink to that.

I destroyed the top #2 on the front pipe because I pushed too damm hard and wasnt paying attention and was in a hurry to " go for a beer". No Im not a drunk,But if this keeps up it is an option. The auto parts store was closed by this time and I know it was my neighbors fault! Couldnt be mine. Yes the easy jobs always turn out to be a pain for me. So I am going to try again since its only going to be 100 dgs today. A nut driver? I would have had to get off my *** and walk ten feet to the box....... I like the air gun idea.....

Good news is you don't need heat shields to ride.

DOOOOOD! It's not your neihbor's fault neither man! With the amount of heat those stainless steel clamps endure it is only normal for them to become brittle and loose tensile strength. You need to develop a certain finess with those used clamps, or go and get like a dozen of those 2" clamps to keep around.... and some more beer, maybe a quick trip to Italia!

Why you taking your anger out on some cold beers? What did they ever do to you?

Every time I tell the wife I'll only be in the garage for 30 minutes she says "I'll see you in the morning" and I ended up spending hours in "simple" tasks.
