I am not exactly small, around 260 at the moment, with my wife we push the 400 range on the bike. Even with me the stock shocks will bottom out when i hit a bump. Not a fan of the stock shocks. While they are easy enough to swap out, any decent ideas on the front end?

2000 miles. And not quite. I'm a solid 200lbs and I run them low with no issues. Call legend and tell them the situation

HD Dooley that's a great recommendation if I've ever heard one, thanks.

You know I decided the guys with the mouths are just trying to make themselves feel better. I could probably lose a few pounds but as a comedian I like is fond of saying, "You can't fix stupid." Ride on.

definitely go with a longer shock, id stay away from progressives other than the 970..

look into works performance, its what im running and am very happy with the ride and the cost, im 218lbs right now but was upto 270 about a year ago, even at that weight the heavy duty shocks were too rigid for me from progressive..

Thanks for that 07bobber. The thought of the shocks being too stiff never entered my mind. I'll give works performance a look see.

I have the 440s and it is a better ride than stock, but I dont think its a crazy better swap. Just a lil bit.
There has to be way better shocks out there.
I am happy with mine though.
