be happy with that choice. i got 1"4 wild one chubbys and now wish i had gone with 16s
Seems to be my problem also. I haven't change the bars on my Bob yet, but when I had my Sportster Custom I installed 14", then thought 16" would be better so I went to them, then I wished I had 18", but I ended up with the Bob before I did the change. I have sat on other Bobs with 14", 16" and 18" and still don't know which one I want yet.
I think the 16" look the best, 14" looks like your willing to go to apes but not willing to commit to the whole "ape hanger look" thing and 18" look like your crazy high. I am not saying any of them are wrong, that's just how I see it personally. That's is also from a bike's looks by itself without the rider, add the rider and then it looks different again. All I do know is that I would rather have any apes than any low bar, I don't like the way low bars feel.
I went 16's from HCC, im 6ft and they are just above shoulder height. Looking to sell them now actually. Ordered a set of 17's from todds cycle. Should have gone bigger to start. At first they will feel "huge" or to tall, but you get used to the feeling quick and will most likely wish you would have went bigger.
I put my Burly slammer kit on yesterday, huge difference i love it. Bars came in the mail now i just have to mock them up so i can measure for longer cables. Ill post pictures soon.
