After being in the saddle almost 6 hours straight last weekend the apes and forwards have to go. I've got my cables en route. (thanks 07bobber) and I'm contemplating on either mx or original WCTB's in most likely 12"s. Currently on the bike are 16" apes with 3" risers care of the previous owner.
Have any of you rode with both styles of bars? I think the MX bars look better but I'm thinking the wrist position of the OG T's will be be more comfortable.
Here's a recent pic of my scoot... Opinions? (Also if anyone wants to loan/borrow/rent a front pulley locking tool and socket I'd toss on a 30t when I put the mids back on.. )

Also has anyone seen any "SPF" Tbars in person? Found em on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/300714796996...84.m1423.l2649

Surprised to hear the forwards are a problem for you...I'm only 6' and mocked up where the mids would be and sat on my bike and it feels very cramped compared to my forwards.
I'm just over 6' around town the forwards are ok, but after continuous riding my inner thighs feel like jello. I rode plenty with them then tossed just the mid mounts and pegs on to try out and I deffinately like the position better.
mids with highway pegs is the way to go. i like the MX bars better. the regular t-bars were to narrow and my shoulders would start to cramp up. and that was a short ride on a friends bike. i put the MX bars on mine and have never had a problem. plus they look better IMO.
I haven't rode with the MX bars but I went from t bars to a ProTaper set up from Forbidden Motorcycles. This is the fourth set of bars I've had and is by far the best. I'm running 9" risers with CR High protapers. I have Mids with highway pegs and only use the highway pegs after I've been on a long stretch (2 hours plus) and its only for a few minutes at a time. These bars are the best compromise between comfort and control. Anyone running a forbidden setup will say the same. Jimmy James has his **** together. Well worth the money.
