Default reduced reach forward control kits question.

I might be in the market for a reduced reach forward control kit. I notice that of all the kits/adapters only the HD reduced reach kit has the shorter push rod. The HD kit only brings them back about an inch. I may want to move it back more and really dial it in to my liking.

I know it uses 41955-03A push rod and I've seen other posts where it was either cut and welded (really don't like that) and one post where the bar was ground down and re-threaded ( I like this better). However, I'm not sure i have the skill or the time to do this myself.

I was wondering why a shorter rod is not available commercially with the kits.

I guess I'll have to purchase a new one and take it to a local machine shop after I an idea of where i want to position them.

Any info, advice will be appreciated.
