I can buy a locking windshield clamp for my Dyna but won't the bolt that fastens it to the mounting bracket still be vulnerable to removal...or does that particular bolt have a "secure" style head shape?
Thanks,
LRMars
Unless you live in an area with a real high crime rate IMO it's not worth trying to secure a removeable windshield. The thugs in question may get frustrated and kick your bike over or some Siht like that. It's just like most people leave thier helmets on thier bike when parked, very rare someone will mess with a harley rider's gear, or any other bike for that matter. Also if someone really wants to rip you off they could just pick up the bike and put it on a truck, so a locking nut won't do you much good at the best of times. Just my 2 cents.

Right you are, the bolt is reused from the non-locking clamp and is the same non-security head as all the others. However, a would-be thief would have to be carrying the right sized hex wrench to loosen the bolt. The locking clamp is really only to stop grab and run thieves. Even so, I bought one and use it.
is there little rubber strip in the grooves on the throat of the clamps? I had a clamp on n old windshield that had those missing and it wouldn't stay locked.
